Enhancing our embryo selection for your best chance of achieving pregnancy and a healthy child
ARMS Embryo Watch provides time-lapse imaging of each patient’s developing IVF embryos, livestreaming each developmental stage from fertilization to implantation directly to the patient’s device (smartphone or computer). Integrated AI software assists the embryologist in analyzing these images and compiles the insights into clear, simple reports.
Embryo Watch key features
- Visual progress tracking: Access on your smartphone or computer time-lapse videos and easy-to-read reports that vividly illustrate your embryos’ development throughout in vitro fertilization (IVF) lab incubation.
- Collaborative real-time viewing: Both our patient and our embryologists can monitor embryo growth as it happens with secure, real-time viewing.
- Potential to improve IVF embryo environment: The challenge of in vitro culturing of embryos is maintaining an environment as close to the womb as possible. Embryo Watch has the potential to help us achieve that.
- Click here to watch a short sample embryo development video that includes helpful descriptions.
What is Embryo Watch embryo development monitoring?
ARMS Embryo Watch, with CHLOE technology, is the first of its kind in the state of Arizona. It offers patients a personal, secure window into the IVF lab to view their embryos as they develop in real-time via a secure link.
Embryo Watch is composed of two cutting-edge technologies. The first is a time-lapse, embryo incubator monitoring system. The second is its AI software program.
These combined enhance the IVF patient’s experience and have the potential to improve IVF outcomes. Studies are ongoing and promising.

Embryo Watch’s proven benefits in embryo development monitoring
Embryo monitoring gives fertility patients peace of mind during a stressful time by providing unprecedented access to the process of their embryos’ development.
Embryo Watch provides a window into the IVF process, empowering IVF patients
According to Fertility and Sterility, 74% of fertility patients would like to see real-time images of their developing IVF embryos. Patients report this ability:
- Reduces their stress.
- Improves their relationship to their clinic due to this transparency.
Patient viewer log-in & demo
Take a quick 30-second tour of the Embryo Watch patient viewer experience. See how easy it is to securely access educational information, the viewer real-time for developmental updates on your embryos progress and more.
Faster, automated reporting on milestones of embryo development stages
Instead of waiting days for updates from the IVF lab, ARMS Embryo Watch patients receive secure, anytime-anywhere access to real-time videos of their embryo development stages in the lab. At the end of embryo culture patients receive a video of their embryos developing through the entire culture process.
Personalized embryo report
Patients also receive a personalized report that includes a cycle summary and daily images of their embryos in the various stages of development.
Potential benefits of time-lapse incubator embryo monitoring vs. standard incubator monitoring
ARMS Embryo Watch is at the forefront of technological advancements in fertility care. This program combines the use of time-lapse incubator monitoring and specialized software to enhance the patient’s experience and potentially the development of their embryos.
Improved prediction of embryo development
A study published in 2024 showed that this culture approach increased the probability of a live birth from the first embryo transfer. CHLOE internal data showed a 48.5% ongoing pregnancy rate with the CHLOE system compared to a 33.5% ongoing pregnancy rate using conventional techniques for the first embryo transfer. This translated to a shorter time to pregnancy of 1.77 transfers compared to 2.19 transfers using conventional techniques.
Research presented in 2022 at European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology conference has validated the performance of CHLOE technology in the following regards.
- To accurately predict whether an embryo will reach the blastocyst stage as quickly as 30 hours from insemination.
- To automatically annotate timing of cell divisions with 96% accuracy, compared with 70% accuracy by an experienced embryologist.
Hopefully larger randomized prospective trials will confirm these preliminary findings.
Continual monitoring closes embryologists’ knowledge gaps in embryo development
Time-lapse incubator technology is a significant advancement over standard IVF monitoring for embryos. Traditional IVF lab procedures use a “snapshot” approach, observing embryos only at limited, specific intervals (typically Day 1 and Days 5-7). This intermittent monitoring risks missing critical developmental events that indicate an embryo’s health and potential. This can make a difference in evaluating the best embryos, affecting chance of pregnancy at implantation.
Maintains optimal embryo environment
ARMS takes multiple steps to protect embryos whenever they are out of the incubator, which is foundational to our excellent pregnancy rates.
Enhancing this protection, time-lapse monitoring allows embryos to remain undisturbed within the incubator from egg retrieval through the entire culture period prior to embryo implantation, continuously documenting every stage of development without disruption.
Some embryos may be more susceptible to the stress of leaving the incubator for assessment. Embryo Watch could improve chance for pregnancy in these at-risk embryos.
What does ARMS Embryo Watch cost?
If an ARMS patient chooses to utilize this service, an additional one-time charge of $1,500 will be applied to their bill.
